A graduate of East Tennessee State University, Cherith Roberts holds an MA and a EdD in educational leadership. She completed her graduate studies, which included cognate studies in special education, while holding a full-time position as an elementary school assistant principal/program assistant in the Bristol Tennessee City School System. Cherith Roberts earned a BA in behavioral science and elementary education from King University in Bristol, Tennessee.
Cherith Roberts most recently spent a decade as an assistant principal at Holston View Elementary School, named a Reward School for several consecutive years in recognition of its students’ outstanding academic progress. The 400-student school was also named a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the U.S. Department of Education. Dr. Roberts previously served as principal of the Bristol Tennessee City Schools' summer reading program, which aims to improve the reading skills of students in kindergarten, first grade, and second grade, and was responsible for running all aspects of it.
Outside of work, Cherith Roberts enjoys spending time with her family at South Holston Lake, near Bristol, or traveling to Wild Dunes on The Isle of Palms in South Carolina.
